African Union Adopts Decade-Long Strategy on Social and Solidarity Economy

At the fifth ordinary session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Social Development, Labour and Employment (STC-SDLE-5) held from 29-31 July 2024, the African Union adopted a ten-year strategy on the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE). The strategy, developed with ILO technical support, aims to enhance social development, labor, and employment across the continent.
