The ILO and the Government of Canada have launched a new initiative aimed at strengthening freedom of association and tackling child labour in the Philippines. The five-year project, announced on 6 August 2024, will enhance the enforcement of international labor standards, focusing on improving workers' rights and keeping children out of the workforce. This project is funded by Canada's Labour Program of Employment and Social Development (ESDC).
