The EPFO issued a notification on September 14, 2023, regarding the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for handling Joint Declarations for member profile updates. According to the notification, the software functionality for this process is still in development. Consequently, EPFO is permitting the submission of joint declarations offline until the software is fully operational. The notification emphasizes the necessity of adhering strictly to the outlined guidelines in the SOP. These guidelines cover various aspects such as parameters for changes, classification of modifications, approval authority, submission of documentary evidence, duties of officers/officials, deadlines for completing joint declarations, monitoring procedures, and other relevant instructions.
