The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation launched an online facility for submitting applications for Validation of Option/Joint Options for pension on higher wages. This facility was launched on February 26, 2023 and was made available to the eligible pensioners/members in compliance with the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Initially, the said facility was available only till May 3, 2023, however, upon requests by the Employers & Employers’ Associations, the time limit was extended to September 30, 2023 to submit wage details, etc. online. The EPFO has again decided to extend the time period and have allowed the uploading of wage details of applicant pensioners/members for the next three months. Therefore, now, the deadline has been shifted to December 31, 2023 to submit wage details.
