ILO Launches Project to Support Armenia’s Refugee Workforce

Writer: samyaknagar2704samyaknagar2704

The ILO has launched a $600,000 initiative to help Armenian refugees secure formal employment. Targeting Armenian refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, the project aims to address barriers to stable work. The initiative, supported by the United Nations and IOM, emphasizes employment as a crucial factor for integration and self-reliance, especially given that nearly half of the refugee population remains unemployed. The ILO initiative focuses on rights protection and improving labor conditions, helping Armenian refugees contribute to and benefit from Armenia’s economy.
